Yesterday, in spite of my busy tasks as a farmer, I guided representatives of a Dubai and Clark-based trading and marketing group in meeting up with Mindanao agricultural producers.
The score was 3 out of 3, meaning all the engagements were successful.
First, the Cacao and Coffee farmers represented by Toto Muyco, Rene Dalayon, Toto Albano and Lyndon Paul Sumaoy reached an agreement with Araz Iz and his wife, Fatemeh Moghaddasi who represented Nuty Nuty, a Dubai-based company, and MET Air Express, to work on the details of a supply contract for Cacao and Coffee Beans.
At lunch, Aras and Fatemeh met with John Tan of Eng Seng Food Products for the supply and forwarding of Durian and other fruits to several points in Asia and the Middle East.
Then, in the afternoon, CAAP Davao head Rex Obcena received the couple representing MET Air Express to discuss proposals to deploy Air Cargo loading equipment at the Davao International Airport.
Today, we are in Cagwait, Surigao del Sur for a meeting with Mayor Glenn Batiancilla and the Lobster Growers of Cagwait for a partnership in Lobster production.
Nakakapagod pero nakakataba ng puso na isipin na kahit wala na ako sa gobyerno, nakakatulong pa rin ako para maugnay ang mga buyers ng produktong Pilipino sa mga magsasaka at mangingisda ng Mindanao.
