Mayor Ang Tigas! Matnog, Sorsogon Mayor Should Fix Ferry Port Mess

There had been a lot of finger pointing in the Matnog Port mess where motorists are stranded for days and grease money is needed to be given priority in boarding the ferry.
Indeed, the port operations are under national agencies but this problem could be handled by the Mayor of Matnog under the principle of “parens patriae” or protecting the interest of the powerless.
I should know, I was Mayor of Mlang, Cotabato once and I hated the deputized LTO agents who were mulcting motorists during market days.
I issued a warning but when they continued their operations, I chased them off with my rattan stick.
They ran off to the ricefields and never came back.
Once, when I was Governor of Cotabato, I saw a long line of cargo trucks loaded with agricultural products.
Hindi gumagalaw dahil may LTO Checkpoint.
