Finding a break in our campaign sorties, I visited yesterday the Goat Multiplier Farm of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Rural Life Center (MBRLC) in Kinuskusan, Bansalan, Davao del Sur.
I wanted to buy young bucks to be bred to my existing herd of Anglo Nubians and Lamancha.
The MBRLC Goat Multiplier Farm was funded by the Dept of Agriculture when I was Secretary of Agriculture.
All the breeding stocks came from top breeders in the U.S.
Managed by Baptist Missionaries and religious leaders, the Goat Multiplier Farm is the most successful in the country.
Over 1,000 progenies of the imported breeding stocks had been sourced from the farm and distributed by the DA to farmers all over Mindanao.
I am proud to have been part of this project.
