Starting It Right! Finding The Mother Tree Of The Sweet Jackfruit

To make sure that the Jackfruit that you will grow would bear sweet fruits, get your scions for grafting from a Mother Jackfruit Tree which produces sweet fruits.
This is the simple rule that we follow in our clonal propagation of the EVIARC Sweet or Abuyog Sweet Jackfruit.
The trees which produce large and sweet fruits in the orchard have been identified and these are the sources of the clonal scions of our seedlings.
This was the explanation I gave couple Yu Beng Chua and Kidapawan City Councilor Dina Espina-Chua when they visited the Jackfruit Farm this morning.
I brought them to one of the trees which is the source of many of our seedlings.
This tree, along with many others, was selected because it consistently produced large and sweet fruits.
This is our way of ensuring that we are improving the quality of our Jackfruits.
Yu Beng and Dina are turning their farms in Linangkob, Kidapawan City, into an EVIARC Sweet Jackfruit Orchard.
They are starting it right.
