The Holy Week Climb of Mt. Apo went well on the first day although we were very slow.
It took us almost five hours to scale up to the Base Camp in Lake Maag where the energy company EDC has a bunkhouse for its employees working on the reforestation of some 700 hectares at the foot of the peak.
Unlike in previous climbs, my 15th trek to Mt. Apo was quite difficult for me because I have become heavier by about 30 lbs.
My son, Imman, and his cousin, Janjan, son of my brother, Pat, took their second climb very easy.
The two teenagers just simply ran up the mountain and enjoyed all the sights along the trail.
More photos and videos coming up.
