Latest update as of 10 a.m. today, June 2, 2013 from correspondent Willamor Magbanua of Kidapawan City:
“Engr. Hermes Daquipa chief of Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported landslide occurred in Barangay Kimadsil, Carmen, North Cotabato due to the earthquake.
Cracks were also reported and the bridge was damaged in the said place.
The newly constructed house of a village chair was damaged. Portion of said house collapsed.
An unidentified person in the same barangay was injured when hit by falling debris and hollow blocks. He was immediately rushed to the Cotabato Provincial Hospital.
Epicenter of said earthquake was placed at 12 kilometers northeast of Carmen, North Cotabato.
At least three aftershocks measuring to 4.3 in magnitude were recorded in separate time shortly before 12 am, the state seismologist said.”

MANILA, Philippines—A 5.7-magnitude earthquake rattled Mindanao Saturday night, with damage and aftershocks expected according to state volcanologists.
The quake was recorded at 10:10 p.m., 12 kilometers northeast of Carmen, North Cotabato, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The quake had a depth of 5 kilometers.
Intensity IV was felt in Matalam, North Cotabato; while Intensity III was felt in Tacurong City, Marawi City; Kidapawan City; Cotabato City; Cagayan de Oro City; and Intensity II was felt Davao City; Valencia City; Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte, Phivolcs said.
