A better life! Moro, Christian Farmers See Hope In Sorghum, Soybeans Farming!

Seeing poor farmers almost in a state of day dreaming as they imagine being lifted out of poverty is an experience which gives me strength in continuing my advocacy to promote Sorghum and Soybeans farming in Mindanao.
Yesterday, in Barangay Magsaysay, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte, I was deeply touched by the attentiveness of poor farmers, both Muslims and Christians, to the orientation on two new crops, Sorghum and Soybeans, and new farming technology.
What made them excited the most was the information that unlike the other crops they produced in the past, Sorghum and Soybeans have a ready market with a guaranteed price.
This weekend, our technical team will return to the area to conduct drone mapping of the 100-hectare area which will serve as the Model Farm in Parang, Maguindanao.
