Amazing Growth!

Unless you are a farmer, you will never understand that exhilirating feeling which comes when the farmer sees his plants growing robustly beyond expectations.
Yesterday, I was back in Benolen, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte to personally supervise the application of AMO Foliar Fertilizer and Bendex to drive away Stinky Bugs (Tyangaw) from our Soybeans.
Seeing the 52-day-old Manchuria White Soybeans growing as high as 3-feet and flowering profusely gave me an indescribable feeling of joy.
In the two years that I had been involved in planting and propagating the local Soybeans variety Manchuria White, this was the first time I saw Soybeans growing so robust.
What makes it more dramatic is that the area where Soybeans grow exceptionally well is a former rebel camp and scene of many bloody encounters between government troops and Moro rebels not so long ago.
With these very encouraging and positive indicators, we are now ready to cover a wider area.
The new areas will be planted with both the old Manchuria White variety and the new variety which came from India.
After several trials in the differents parts of Central Mindanao, I believe I have found the most ideal location for growing Soybeans.
