The launching of the boxing program Blow By Blow Reloaded has been moved from Nov. 8 to Nov. 28 this year, according to Lito Mondejar, promoter of the event.
Mondejar said the promoters decided to move the event to the end of the month to make sure that the man behind the program, Saranggani Congressman Manny Pacquiao, would be present during the event.
Pacquiao left Nov. 3 for Dubai, UAE and will proceed to Israel for a religious retreat. He is expected back in the Philippines on Nov. 22.
Blow By Blow Reloaded is the brainchild of Pacquiao and is actually a revival of the popular TV boxing program which was started over 20 years ago.
The original Blow By Blow, which was also promoted by Mondejar along with his partner, the late Ramon Lainez, was where the young fighter from General Santos City, Manny Pacquiao, made a name as a young boxer who slugged it out with all comers.
From there, he became an Oriental flyweight champion, then WBC Flyweight champion and later made history as the only boxer to win titles in eight weight divisions.
The new Blow By Blow Reloaded will be shown on TV5 every Sunday and aims to discover new boxing talents who would take over from Pacquiao when he retires sometime next year.
