One month after I planted the seeds of two Foundation Varieties of Soybeans from the U.S., they have started flowering, an indication that they have adapted to local climatic conditions.
The two new varieties, out of the 50 send to me by my friend from Hereford, Texas, Coby Kriegshauser, are also fast growers with a height of about 2.5 feet after just 30 days.
The two new varieties which I have temporarily named Kriegshauser HPD and Kriegshauser QYQ are the third and fourth Soybeans varieties which had been propagated in trial plots in my farm in Kidapawan City.
Earlier, two Indian varieties were also planted in trial plots and showed outstanding growth and pods size.
It is my hope that I will be able to develop Soybeans varieties which will have a higher yield than our local varieties.
