Catching Fire! More Cotabato Farmers Join Sorghum Program

In the Ceremonial Harvest of the Indian Jowar in Pigcawaran, Alamada yesterday, more farmers have asked to be included in the Sorghum Production Program.
This developed after the farmers themselves saw the robust growth and heavy grains production of the White Sorghum in the Demo Farm located along the road visible to passersby.
Under the program initiated by the Southseas Agri-Aqua Ventures Inc., participating farmers will be provided with seeds payable upon harvest.
The Sorghum produced is assured of a market with guaranteed price under a Buy-Back Scheme designed by SAAVI.
In limited coverage, Braveheart Farms, which I own, also offers Tractor Services and fertilizer payable upon harvest.
In addition to these support services, Braveheart Farms also teaches farmers on Silage-Making using the Sorghum stalks as silage materials for Goats, Sheep and Cattle feeds.
Yesterday, during the ceremonial harvest farmers who own an estimated 100 hectares of farmlands have joined the program.
This is a heartwarming development which is a result of perseverance even after initial setbacks.
We are moving ahead with a happy heart.
