PRRD CABINET MEETS
FROM 4 PM TO 11:30 PM
Government offices were directed to close at 12 noon yesterday as rains brought by Typhoon Domeng poured heavily in Luzon and Metro Manila.
But for members of the Cabinet of President Rody Duterte, there was no stopping the 26th Cabinet Meeting in the Aguinaldo State Dining Room yesterday.
In fact, the Cabinet Meeting stretched from 4 pm to 11:30 pm, or a total of seven and a half hours.
Discussed during last night’s meeting among others were the scheduled reopening of Boracay Island, the declaration as Agrarian Reform Area of the island, the effects of the TRAIN law on the lives of the ordinary Filipino, the rehabilitation of Marawi and the additional funding that the President will earmark for an easy credit scheme for small business and market vendors.
