Day 25 Drone Seeding Trials Compared To Conventional Manual Seed Planting!

Drone seeding of Sorghum using GPS-Guided DJI Agras T30 works but adjustments will have to be made on spreading density.
In the demo farm for drone seeded Sorghum, some areas were densely seeded while the peripheral areas had thin growth.
Jojo Fresco who handles the DJI Agras T30 said they have already made adjustments on the spreading density.
The drone had also successfully sprayed herbicide and foliar fertilizer.
In contrast, the traditional method of planting showed uniform growth of Sorghum.
The catch, however, is that at least 6 people are needed to plant Sorghum seeds in one hectare in one day.
At a daily wage of P500 each, the expense for seeding is P3,000 per hectare.
The GPS-Guided DJI Agras T30 could cover one hectare in 7 to 10 minutes costing only P2,000 for the drone rental.
The drone could cover 100 hectares in a 1-day operation.
