Demo Farm Lesson #1 Sorghum Growth Stunted In Waterlogged, Wet Areas

In the small Sorghum Experimental and Demonstration Farm of the Southseas Agri-Aqua Ventures Corp. and Scott Seed Company of Texas, it has been established that Sorghum growth is stunned in waterlogged or wet areas.
The Demo Farm located in the land owned by my brother, retired police colonel Patricio Piñol, has a slightly undulating terrain with low-lying portions where water stays for a while after the rain.
It is in these areas where the growth of the Sorghum was stunted while those that grew in the elevated areas appeared very green and robust.
Sorghum, actually, is a drought tolerant grains crop which needs only 25% of the water requirement of Corn, thus more adaptable to the upland climate.
SAAV Corporation, a new agricultural company which I, former Senator Panfilo Lacson, Filipinos-Am farmer-scientist Rocky French and four other friends have organized is embarking on a Sorghum Planting Program as the foundation of our future projects in Aquaculture, Poultry and Livestock production.
