A netizen following this page accused me of posting a doctored photo showing me riding a small speedboat while inspecting the flooded plains of Bunawan, Agusan del Sur.
The photo was actually taken in January 2017 while I was in a small speedboat with then Bunawan Mayor Edwin Elorde, who along with his brother, Gilbert, caught “Lolong,” the country’s biggest crocodile.
“Bakit kailangan manlinlang,” she asked as she accused me of posting a doctored photo.
The photo was actually one of the shots of my many travels to the countryside.
I must admit that I was deeply offended by the accusation because I deem it a question on my integrity and honesty.
The photo is authentic and real!
Alan Jay Jacalan, the DA photographer to took the shots, says all the photos are authentic and even offered to provide doubters the original copies.
To prove that the photo was taken during the inspection of the floods, I am posting here the other shots taken by Alan Jay Jacalan during the floods.
Let me emphasize one thing here: I am not a perfect person but I don’t cheat and my golfing buddies with whom I place wagers during games will attest to that.
Ano ang mahihita ko para mag post ng peke na letrato?
By the way, it was during that visit to the flooded Agusan Basin where I conceptualized a loaning program called “SURE” or Survival and Recovery Loaning Program.
SURE offers a loan of P25,000 to agriculture and fisheries stakeholders affected by calamity, payable in three years without collateral and interest.
This is now a national program of the Dept. of Agriculture and Land Bank of the Philippines.
Ako ang may katha ng SURE at hindi yan panlilinlang.
