Puerto Princesa City – American Sorghum Experts arrived in Palawan today for a 1-day forum on Sorghum and Cattle Fattening in Aborlan town Sept. 1.
The forum, sponsored by Cong. Edward Hagedorn, aims to orient Palawan farmers on the prospects of Sorghum farming and Cattle Fattening.
In the experts team are Scott Seed Company owners Coby and Chad Kriegshauser, Barry Kriegshauser and plant breeder Charles Cielencki.
Outstanding OFW Arnel Corpuz will lecture on silage making while GRAINSCO representative Joemel Fresco will present the Agricultural Drone Technology.
After the lectures, an actual demonstration on the use of the DJI Agras T30 Drone in sowing Sorghum seeds.
The program is part of Cong. Hagedorn’s initiative to turn Palawan into a Food Self-Sufficient island province.
