Duterte’s way RODY RELEASES P1-M REWARD TO INFORMANT IN PASTOR CASE

People who have been asking why Davao City Mayor Rody Duterte has been very successful in his anti-crime and anti-drugs campaign in his city could take a cue from how he handled the murder of his friend, race car driver Enzo Pastor.

Duterte, angered by the delay in the investigation into the killing of Pastor, personally offered a P1-M reward to anybody who could provide any information which could lead to the solution of the race car driver’s murder.

It did not take long before, two people came forward and identified a policeman as the triggerman in the Pastor case. The policeman later admitted his participation in the crime.

The suspected triggerman pointed to another race car driver and alleged lover of Pastor’s wife as the mastermind.

Yesterday, during the Monday flag-raising ceremony of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Camp Crame, Duterte announced that he had already turned over the P1-M reward to the informants.

Duterte uses the same reward system in Davao City using his intelligence funds to encourage informants to come forward and volunteer critical inputs against criminal and drug syndicates operating in the city.

The reward system has resulted in the busting of drug and criminal syndicates many of whose members were slain during the operations condcuted by government forces.

That is Duterte’s way and it is effective.
