Endless Learning! Small Stalks, Grainsheads In Sorghum Over Seeding

Over a year into the Sorghum Program of our young company, Southseas Agri-Aqua Ventures, Inc., I am still learning new lessons.
Over-population because of over-seeding results in smaller stalks, thus smaller grainsheads.
The reason why I over-seeded is because our seeds are old and I was afraid we would have low germination.
I conducted germination tests but the results were erratic so I decided to sow 20 kilos of seeds.
I thought it was better to do thinning operations later than replant.
Based on our experience, the ideal seeding density is between 12 to 15 kilos of new and active seeds per hectare.
Still, the yield is expected to be good because while the grainsheads are smaller, the number of stalks is greater.
