In my quick visit to Bohol today to visit the Calape Mariculture Park, I loaded several seedlings of the EVIARC Sweet, Cempedak and Durian which farmers in the island had long asked me to share with them.
In these two photos, Boholano farmer Ben Ngoho beams as he receives his seedlings in front of the Cesar’s Place Hotel in Tagbilaran while my brod, Samson Mante of Loon shows his Cempedak seedling.
Many more farmers wanted to buy seedlings from Kidapawan City but my pick-up could only carry a few hundreds.
Boholanos are now looking at fruit tree farming as a prospective profitable agricultural.activity because of the growing tourism industry.
