Experience of a Lifetime! Riding A P17.5-M Mammoth Air-Conditioned Harvester

Vega, Texas – On Wednesday, I felt like a young kid again who was riding the Carabao for the first time.

The only difference is, this time I clambered into a mammoth farm equipment, a P17.5-M Combine Harvester equipped with GPS and fully air-conditioned.

My Texan friend and Scott Seed Company CEO Coby Kriegshauzer, goaded me to join Chip Morris, son of the owner of the harvester.

It was indeed an experience of a lifetime seeing the giant harvester literally devour the grains and store these in its huge belly before transferring it to a tractor with a grains receptacle.

All of these functions are done by push-button making the operation look so easy.

I hope that someday, Philippine Agriculture will also rise to this level of modernization.
