Farming Lessons! Does Garlic Drive Away Soybeans Insects, Pests?

Early today, I was visited by an officer and Agromists of Allied Botanicals who introduced their company’s products for me to test.
I took advantage of the presence of Agronomists Jofer Flores and Jay Evangelio, along with their supervisor, Paul Imbang, to refer to them an unusual development in the growth of my Soybeans which grew accidentally in the Garlic plot.
The Soybeans were not attacked by worms and pests, unlike in our other Soybeans area where we had to spray at least every week to drive away pests.
Jofer said the pungent smell of the Garlic could have deterred the pests and insects.
This is an interesting development which needs further studies for validation.
This is what makes farming exciting, the everyday discoveries we make by simply doing things.
