Future Agri Secretary? MEETING DAVAO OCC FARMERS WITH GRANDSON DUANE IN TOW

Malita, Davao Occidental – I had the most delightful Biyaheng Bukid in this coastal town yesterday as my only grandson, Duane, joined me on stage to the laughter of the crowd.

Actually, I decided to bring along my daughter, Dr. Ma. Krista Piñol-Solis, and her son, Duane Aniceto, because it was her day-off.

I was on stage to start the public forum to allow farmers and fisherfolk to interact with me and the leaders of Davao Occidental Province – Gov. Claude Bautista and Vice Gov. Franklin Bautista – when Duane ran up to the stage and joined me.

The crowd laughed as he refused to come down and only agreed to go back to his mother when I asked him to.

At age 3, Duane has shown extra-ordinary liking for chicken and other animals.

I even have a picture of him at age one and a half feeding chicken.

I will not be surprised if he will be a farmer like me.

Next Agriculture Secretary?

That’s not impossible.
