The F/B Pagbabago Fiberglass Fishing Boat Program of the Department of Agriculture Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources are fabricated by fishermen themselves.
These are given out for free at one unit per two families. The fishermen’s counterpart is the outrigger or “katig.”
Before the boats are given out, they undergo the hammer test and the sea-worthiness test.
