Growing vegetables in pots and empty plastic containers is easy and it could be a lot of fun.
Here, I am sharing some photos of what I and my farm help are doing in the farm so readers will have an idea.
On Oct. 27, in the Smokey Mountain in Tondo, Manila, the Dept. of Agriculture and Fisheries will launch the “Gulay sa Likod Bahay” and “Pala-Isdaan sa Bayan” to help urban poor families gain access to fresh vegetables and grow Tilapia in fish tanks.
The half-day orientation workshop will teach urban families on how to grow vegetables in pots and plastic containers.
The Bureau Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) will also set up the “Circles of Life” fish tanks with.about 4,000 Tilapia fingerlings which will be a project of women in the Smokey Mountain.
