There are so many beautiful natural wonders of Mindanao which were largely unseen and unheard of because of the decades of conflict which prevented people from discovering these.
With peace dawning on the troubled island in the South, these natural wonders are now slowly being exposed to the public.
Yesterday, as I flew over the boundaries of North Cotabato and Maguindanao, I saw from the Air Force helicopter I was in the beautiful Daday Falls which is about 300 meters high.
The water of Daday Falls actually come from a mountain-top lake called Baranibod which straddles in the boundaries of the two provinces.
I have not been to Baranibod yet but I have visited Daday Falls many years ago when I was Governor of North Cotabato.
From the air, Daday Falls looked majestic as its water drops about 300 meters and flows down the Libungan River.
Aside from the Daday Falls and Lake Baranibod, Alamada town also has the Tirin-Tirin Falls and the unique Asik-Asik Falls where the waters come out of the side of a cliff and flows down to a river.
There are many more beautiful sceneries which will be exposed to the public as peace paves the virtual roads to these hidden wonders.
