In the garden… ‘Labog’ Leaves Best For ‘Paksiw,’ ‘Sinigang!’

When one constantly moves around the farm, he will discover a lot of beneficial plants, both for medicine and food.
The other day, while visiting the farm of my brother, retired police officer Pat Piñol, in Baynosa, Tulunan, I saw “Labog” plants growing vigorously.
“Labog” (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is also known as Roselle has sour leaves and fruits and is good for cooking “Paksiw” and “Singing.”
When you have this in your backyard, you will not need to buy the Sinigang mix in packets because they grow vigorously.
Plants like “Labog” prove that Mother Nature actually provides us with almost everything to survive.
Basta hindi lang tamad, walang magugutom sa Pilipinas.
