We are all set and ready to go for the 3-day climb of the country’s highest mountain, the 10,311-feet Mount Apo.
This will be my 15th climb and my son Imman’s second.
As I have done in the past, I and Imman will again plant Tinikaran tree seedlings to mark my climbs.
At 64, how many more times I could climb this majestic mountain with a lake, Lake Venado, at 8,000-feet.
I know it won’t be long before the ageing knees could not make the rigorous climb.
But until such time, I will keep on climbing.
(Photos show me and my son, Imman, all dressed up for the climb. Other photos show police officers SSupt. Max Layugan, PD North Cotabato, Supt. Leo Aujero and Supt. Bernard Tayong who made the security arrangements and the team which will clmb with me.
