It’s settled! PRRD’S GREATEST LEGACY: PEACE IN SOUTHERN PHILS.

Two weeks ago, journalist Ed Lingao who hosts the TV5 Program The Chiefs along with Luchi Cruz-Valdez, Amy Pamintuan and Roby Alampay, asked me about the progress of the peace agreement in Mindanao.

He also asked how the Bangasamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao is performing under the leadership of former Moro Islamic Liberation Front commanders.

I told Ed Lingao that even with six months left in his term, President Rodrigo Duterte has safely tucked in his waist the Peace Agreement in Mindanao as his greatest legacy.

Handling the peace negotiations personally, President Duterte was able to convince MILF leader, Kagui Murad, nom de guerre of now BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim, Al Haj, to end the half-century conflict which claimed countless lives.

With Chief Minister Ebrahim at the helm of the BARMM, peace has come to the region and progress is slowly setting in, all of these are results of the personal handling of the peace negotiations by the President.
