A total of 1,337 jobs in Saudi Arabia, from carpenters, plumbers, electricians, engineers, bus and truck drivers to heavy equipment operators and mechanics, is open to workers from North Cotabato and Davao City.
The screening for applicants from North Cotabato is scheduled Sept. 17 and 18 while those from Davao City will be screened on Sept. 15 and 16.
In M’lang, the screening will be held at the old gymnasium beside the municipal building, according to M’lang Mayor Lito Pinol.
The M’lang screening will be open to all job applicants from North Cotabato and the nearby areas of Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat.
Those who will pass the screening will undergo a final interview by the Saudi employers who will personally go to M’lang on Sept. 23.
The hiring of the workers is immediate because the Saudi Construction company Al-Rashid is currently undertaking the construction of massive infrastructure projects in the Kingdom including schools and hospitals.
Lory Santos, vice president of Aram Enterprises which undertakes the recruitment said there will be no placement fees charged on the workers before they are fielded because the fee will be deducted from their salaries.
Here is the email message sent to me by Lory Santos indicating the dates of the screening and final interview:
