KIDAPAWAN CITY LASS READY FOR BIGGEST PERFORMANCE

Las Vegas, Nevada – Gail Banawis, the 19-year-old Fil-Am singer from Kidapawan City, North Cotabato is all set for the biggest performance of her life – to lead the singing of the Philippine national anthem in the Mayweather-Pacquiao world championship May 2 (May 3 in Manila).
Gail, who was in Pacquiao’s Mandalay Bay suite yesterday for her final practice with the group of singing pastors who will sing the “Lupang Hinirang” with her, said she was ready for the biggest performance of her life.
While she has been singing in big events in New York, her appearance as the lead singer in the rendition of the national anthem will introduce her to hundreds of millions of viewers all over the world who will watch the boxing event which is billed as the “Biggest Fight of the Century.”
Gail was in Mandalay Bay yesterday with her father, Bobot Banawis, who hails from Kidapawan City.
Her mother is from Cebu City.
