Know The “Enemies!”

One of the most challenging aspects of farming is knowing the factors which could result in crop failure or low yield.
In my involvement now with Sorghum and Soybean farming, I consider pests and weeds as the most serious problems.
Pests would include worms and insects or in the case of Sorghum, grains-eating birds.
Weeds would be varied and the interventions would depend on the species which deprive our plants with the nutrients in the soil, including the fertilizer which we apply.
It is very important to know these “enemies” to effectively neutralize them.
In the case of pests, it must be determined what time they attack because the nocturnal worms will have to be neutralized through night spraying.
Our farm technician, April Galanto, has made an inventory of the pests and weeds which harm our plants.
Farmers should practice this because it really helps a lot.
