Kulang sa Asim!😃 Small Entrepreneurs Need Govt. Support In Marketing

My post on the insatiable appetite of South Americans, including Filipino expats, for the spicy condiment called “Sinamak” has generated so much interests from small entrepreneurs who had long been producing it.
All of them showed their products – from Bulacan to Bicol and down to Mindanao.
Even sportswriter and International Boxing Judge Salven Lagumbay presented his own version of the “Sinamak” which he named “Asimtomatik.”
But they all had a common problem – difficulty in promoting and marketing their products.
Tulad ng sinabi ko in a previous post, napakahina ng tulong ng ating gobyerno sa homegrown industries.
Mula sa mabagal at matagaaaal na processing ng FDA papers, sa hirap ng pagkuha ng financing sa bangko at kalbaryo sa paglalako ng mga produkto – ito ang dahilan kung bakit nauungusan tayo ng ibang bansa.
I will reiterate my recommendation that the National Food Authority (NFA) which had been mainly involved with Rice, should be given an expanded mandate to act as a promotions and marketing agency of our Agriculture and Fisheries sector.
