It takes 5 to 6 years for a Mother Milkfish to start laying millions of eggs.
In the Philippines, Mother Milkfish or Sabalos spawn from March to November.
Milkfish eggs hatch to become Larvae in 24 hours.
The Larvae grow to 3-inch fingerlings in three months which in turn become full grown Bangus in 5 to 6 months in Fish Cages.
The Philippines only needs 5,000 to 6,000 Fish Cages to become Self-Sufficient.
