Learning More About Pekin Ducks!
Today, I learned that to identify male Pekin Ducks, called Drake, from females, simply called Ducks, you need to first look at the tail feathers.
The males or Drakes have one curled tail feather.
The other indication is through the sounds they make.
The males don’t make a lot of noise and the voice is low.
But the females, just like another species I know of, cackle a lot. 🤣🤣🤣
