Even if you have limited space to raise free-range chicken, you could make sure that they will have access to green grass always by following these simple instructions:
1. Enclose your ranging area with a fish net;
2. Use another fish net to divide the area into two divisions or paddocks;
3. Build a chicken house with three doors – one as entry point and the other two would lead to the separate ranging areas;
4. Use one of the paddocks first until the green grass is consumed by the chicks;
5. When the chicks have eaten all of the green grass in the first paddock, you could close it and open the second paddock with growing green grass;
After a month or two, the grass in the first paddock would have regrown while the second would be bald, so, you could again rotate your paddocks.
