Let’s Move Forward! Industrial Tree, Bamboo Investors Merit Incentives, Tax Exemption

Before I left the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), I organized a technical working group to look into the viability of reviving the operations of the PICOP Pulp and Paper Factory in Bislig, Surigao del Sur.

Importante ang mga processing facilities sa tagumpay ng programa na pagtatanim ng mga kahoy at kawayan sa mga kalbong kabundukan.

Dapat merong special incentives ang ating gobyerno sa mga local industries na binubuo ng mga Filipino investors na nakakatulong sa sustainable environmental protection.

Those who invest in industries which contribute to the tree and bamboo planting program of government should be given tax exemption priviliges or even initial grants by government equivalent to the amount they directly invested.

Lahat ng mga ito, puedeng ikonsidera at pag-aralan. Ang importante lang ay kailangang maisagawa ito agad.

Ito ang pinaka praktikal na approach to hasten the regreening of our bald mountains pero nangangailangan ito ng isang national program na multi-agency ang participation at may kaukulang pundo na suporta upang mabuhay ang mga local industries.

May mga local wood and bamboo processing facilities na either nagsara or hirap na hirap ngayon dahil kulang ng suporta ng gobyerno.

Maski ang pag-utang sa mga government financing institutions ay napakabagal ang processing at pag release.

Tnis is the only way to move forward fast.

Kailangan tutukan ito ng ating gobyerno because any delay in the planting of trees or bamboos in the denuded and deforested areas of the country could be disastrous to us.
