Over 300 families living beside the compound of the Department of Agriculture in Quezon City whose homes were affected by a fire Wednesday, received food assistance today.
The fire victims who are actually occupying two areas owned by the DA and the Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources gathered at the DA Gym at about 3 pm led by their barangay officials.
National Housing Authority General Manager Jun Escalada also sent a representative to brief the fire victims on possible relocation.
The food assistance for the fire victims will be extended for the next three more Fridays to ensure that they will have enough food as they rebuild their houses.
