The Department of Agriculture (DA) Agriculture Marketing Assistance Service (AMAS) will launch a marketing campaign in Metro Manila for local mangoes next week.
This is in response to the request of mango growers for government support in selling their harvest after processors dropped the buying price of the fruit following a good harvest season.
Mango growers who would like to participate in the program are advised to coordinate with Director Bernadette San Juan of AMAS (Bernadette San Juan) through her Facebook page.
The tentative date for the launching of the marketing program is June 11 in at least two venues – the DA Central Office in Quezon City and the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) Compound in Metro Manila.
