Arrived in Manila at past 12 midnight August 29 only to find out that motorists still have to bear traffic gridlock near the airport in an unholy hour.
Our driver said driving from Quezon City to Makati through EDSA usually takes 3 hours.
That is a distance which I used to drive through in 15 to 20 minutes years ago.
What has become of Metro Manila and the Philippines?
What has become of our leaders who reside in Metro Manila?
Are they numb not to feel the agony of the people?
Are they blind not to see the suffering of the people?
Now, several Metro Manila-based political leaders are offering themselves to be President of the country.
For what? And what for?
To preside over another six years of chaos?
What Metro Manila needs now is a President who sees and feels these problems. One who could enforce the laws and instil discipline among the people.
Somebody who is looking in from the outside.
