Two months after the mayhem at the Matnog, Sorsogon Port was resolved, truckers carrying goods from Luzon to Mindanao have again sought my help to address a similar problem in the Port of San Ricardo, Leyte.
Dalawa ang ports sa Leyte na dinadaanan ng mga cargo trucks at sasakyan in going to Mindanao and these are in Liloan and San Ricardo towns.
Three days ago, I received a text message from a trucker complaining that he had been stranded at the Port of Liloan since Sunday.
Today, truckers from Davao posted another appeal for help as they had been stranded in the Port of San Ricardo.
Actually, in this situation, consumers ang lugi kasi the additional expense due to the delay results in higher prices of goods.
While I am no longer with MinDA or government, may I once again call the attention of my friend, Sec. Art Tugade, to please resolve this problem.
Kawawa naman ang mga truckers natin.
Salamat po, Apo Secretary.
