From Alamada and Mlang, Cotabato where the first trial farms for Sorghum and Soybeans were established, new demonstration fields will be started in the towns of Antipas, Arakan, Pres. Roxas and Upper Matalam.
In Antipas town, Mayor Cristobal Cadungon has offered two sites for the Demo and Trial Farms.
These Demo Farms of at least 1 hectare each will serve as Learning Sites for farmers in the areas for them to appreciate the potentials of the new crops.
For me and the team pushing for the propagation of Sorghum and Soybeans, these Demo Farms would also guide us on the correct farming protocols in specific locations.
This is based on the farming fact that each farming area has a distinct climate and soil which would determine productivity.
#learningisneverending!
