The National Food Authority Council (NFAC) has approved the transfer of the NFA Provincial Office from Bacolod City to Bago City during the last NFAC meeting in Malacañang.
The new NFA Provincial Office and buying station will be located at the Rice Processing Complex owned by the Provincial Government and supported by the Dept. of Agriculture.
Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, who formally requested for the relocation of the NFA Provincial Office to Bago City, said the provincial government has allocated P50-M for the construction of the new NFA office building and grains silos.
The transfer will be done as soon as the new office building is completed.
