Nitrates from ‘Kuhol’! Fil-Am To Share Technology To Produce Organic Fertilizer

Thermal City, Southern California – Fil-Am farmer Rocky French, who was able to produce liquid Nitrates by feeding Golden Kuhol with Malunggay, is coming to the Philippines to share the technology.

I expect Rocky to arrive in the Philippines this December.

Ahead of his arrival, I will set up a demonstration area in my farm in Kidapawan City from where I will ask Rocky to share the technology via ZOOM and Facebook Live.

Marami akong tanim na Malunggay sa farm ko, the seeds of which also came from Rocky, and Golden Kuhol are so plenty in the periphery of Liguasan Marsh.

What is critical actually is the dilution of the concentrated nitrates produced by the wastes Golden Kuhol fed with Malunggay so that it could be applied in the farm both as liquid fertilizer or foliar.

Malaking tulong itong breakthrough na ito especially now that the prices of Urea and other inorganic fertilizer had doubled, a problem which could affect our food production.

It was also French, originally from Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat, who helped me establish the first Solar Powered Irrigation System when I was Agriculture Secretary.

He also trained BFAR officers and technicians in Tilapia nursery operations in his farm in Coachella Valley, Southern California.
