In Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay, “Pahi” or Freshwater Lobster is served in eateries as part of the “turo-turo” menu.
Fisherfolk leader Roberto “Ka Dodoy” Ballon, 2021 Ramon Magsaysay Awardee, said that the “Pahi” comes from Kabasalan River and had been there since he was a young boy.
