Here is another desperate attempt by the Philippine Daily Inquirer to cover up for their disastrous reportage – publishing a very long and senseless story which does not admit culpability.
This could have easily ended with the Inquirer simply saying: “Sorry, our reporter did a lousy job writing an unverified story. Our editors also committed editorial misjudgement by not validating the story. We deeply apologise.”
But no, you are too proud to even say “Sorry.”
