When the flotilla of Philippine government vessels composed of three ships of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and a Philippine Coast Guard patrol craft arrived in the Benham Bank Saturday afternoon, two Filipino fishing vessels were in the area.
One of the fishing boats immediately approached the mother ship, MV DA BFAR and shared with us their catch.

Fisherfolk leader Romeo Sarco of the group based in Dinahican, Infanta, Quezon said the huge fishes are aplenty that they do not bother catching the small fish species.
“Madudurog lang ang maliliit na isda kasi madaganan ng mga malalaki,” he said.
