Science In Farming! Trial Farms Determine Crop Suitability, Viability

Many have asked why in so many instances and in so many areas, we established trial farms for new crops like Soybeans, Sorghum, Garlic and Onion.
The reason is simple: seeds and plants are location and climate specific.
What grows well in Northern Luzon may not thrive well in Mindanao.
Unlike Rice and Corn which farmers have deep knowledge of, there are no established planting protocols yet for the four new crops in Mindanao.
It is therefore important that trial farms in specific locations are established.
