Scientific farming! Pelletized Goat Feeds Using Legumes, Rice Bran

With the help of Filipino-American farmer-scientist Rocky French, we have now started a farm experiment on the effect of our pelletized feed formulation on lactating goat does.
The pelletized Goat Feed is made from a mixture of Madre de Aqua leaves (sn: Trichantera gigantea), Indigofera (sn: Indigofera tinctoria), Rice Bran and Copra Meal.
Four lactating LaMancha Does are now being fed separately to be compared later with those given our usual silage and pelletized feeds without legumes.
Rocky’s target is to produce lactating feeds with a CP of 12 to 15% which is easily achievable with Indigofera and Madre de Agua.
Results of this controlled study, including the exact formulation, will be shared later with our fellow goat farmers.
