Followers of this page are sending in so many pictures of the things they see everyday but nowhere was I amused by two photos I received today.
One is a picture of the tail-end of a pick-up taken by a supporter of Rody Duterte in Cebu City.
The markings I believe were done using a pentel pen but the message was very strong: We Love Duterte.
The other picture came from Zamboanga Sibugay and it showed a billboard for a public works project.
In the lower portion of the billboard, a phrase which obviously promotes administration candidate Manuel Roxas III was painted.
Herein lies the difference between these two former friends who have parted ways because of politics.
Duterte, who has refused to accept money from big political donors and people doing business with government, enjoys the support of the people.
Roxas, who brags about his party’s “Daang Matuwid” mantra, enjoys the support of public works contractors who are obviously required to promote him even in their billboards and the whole machinery of the government under President Aquino.
Ironically, it is Roxas’ party which proudly declares that they are riding on an anti-corruption platform in government.
These simple signs are indicators of who is truly not corrupt and who enjoys the support of the people.
