Soldier To Farmer! Retired Soldiers Turn To Fruit Tree Farming

Yesterday, another retired Army General visited my farm in Paco, Kidapawan City to buy seedlings of the EVIARC Sweet Jackfruit, also known as Abuyog Sweet, as he turns to tree farming in retirement.
Retired Major General Rolando Tenefrancia, former Inspector General of the AFP, came with his brother-in-law Jun Crispino to personally see my nursery and buy the seedlings.
He said he is planting fruit trees in his farm in Tantangan, the town next to his hometown, Tacurong.
Every time, retired military officers come to the farm to join me in my advocacy for a Green Philippines through tree farming, I get more convinced that I am succeeding in increasing our people’s awareness to the need to plant more trees.
